11U (Mosquito)

2024 Schedule

Many different baseball diamonds are used for Mosquito - most diamonds are in the south part of Richmond Hill.

House League Mosquito division is a recreational level of baseball for girls and boys of all skill levels and experiences. This program allows children to play twice (one practice day and one game day) per week. Games are played against other teams within the Richmond Hill Baseball Club’s House League Mosquito division.

The Mosquito division is where live pitching is first introduced. The kids learn how to pitch, and do all the pitching in the mosquito games. The focus at this level is to promote sportsmanship, fun, and a greater enjoyment of baseball. Regardless of the standings, all teams will qualify for playoffs at the end of the season. All kids tkae turns to play different positions, and all kids bat and field equally in each game.

Parent volunteers usually make up a team’s coaching staff and include 2-3 co-coaches (or a head coach plus assistant coaches). Parents are also encouraged to become actively involved with overall team duties such as score-keeping, laying down bases, etc.
