Rep League

About the Rep Program

Richmond Hill Phoenix Rep Program consists of teams that represent the City of Richmond Hill and play in highly competitive games against teams in the York Simcoe Baseball Association (YSBA) and in some cases, inter-lock games against teams in the Toronto Baseball Association (TBA) and Eastern Ontario Baseball Association (EOBA).

Team selection begins in September with fall tryouts.  Team activities usually begin in October, which leads to indoor Winter training from January to April. Richmond Hill League fee are typically required to be paid before any team activity particiption. League play starts the first week of May.

A typical season consists of the following:

o    16-20 regular season games
o    3-4 weekend tournaments (1-2 out of town with a hotel stay)
o    Practices (1 per week on average)
o    YSBA Qualifiers (i.e. YSBA playoffs) in mid-August
o    Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) Championships on Labour Day weekend (for teams that qualify).

The costs to play include the respective Rep League club registration fee plus additional team fees, as determined by the individual teams (to cover costs of uniforms, equipment, tournaments, etc.).
