In Jr Rookie ball, kids no longer hit off the tee, but balls are pitched to them from a pitching machine. Kids continue to learn the basics of playing baseball, including throwing, catching, hitting and fielding. This is also a team sport, stressing individual skills mixed with team competition. Playing baseball provides a base that will assist your child in remaining active throughout his/her growing years.

All kids take turns playing the different positions, and bat equally through each game.

Jr Rookie Ball is also also a great opportunity to build fond memories and bonds with your child that will last forever. All teams are coached by parent volunteers. We encourage you to participate as much as you can to ensure a positive experience for the kids.

 Each team requires:

•         2-3 co-coaches to set the game lineups and run the practices
•         someone to keep the kids in order on the bench and ready for their turn to bat                       
•         someone to ensure the equipment is at all games and set up
